The Twelve Apostles Apollo Bay to Port Campbell National Park and The Twelve Apostles is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. allowing plenty of time to enjoy and savour the Great Ocean Road and its hinterlands. it's not hard to see how the Shipwreck coast earned its name. Wild weather that nature sometimes turns on - especially during the winter - whips up the waves in this truly mighty section of the Great Ocean Road, making it one of the most treacherous stretches of coastline in the world. Many ships have come to grief here. Hundreds of people have lost their lives, some have survived to tell the tale. Huge limestone cliffs, the famous Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, the Blowhole, London Bridge, the Grotto...these are just some of the startling natural features easily accessable from the Great Ocean Road. All sites are well signposted and specially built platforms and boardwalks give spectacular views.
